Urimbiria Nursing Home
There are eighteen (18) twin accommodation rooms and four (4) single rooms in the nursing home.
Single room accommodation selection is made by the nursing staff in consultation with the Director of Nursing following discussions with the family/resident and the resident’s doctor ONLY.
Single room accommodation is deemed to be a need based privilege not a financial privilege.
The Urimbiria Nursing Home features shared rooms (approx. 27m2 each) with shared ensuite.
All rooms includes:
Supplied with high quality bedding including colour-coordinated linen and hypo-allergenic pillows.
Sensor mats are fitted alongside the bed for the benefit of residents with dementia and mobility problems.
Other room fittings include nurse call-points and picture rails.
All door and draw handles have been specially fitted for dexterity.
Privacy is provided within the room with a privacy curtain screen that surrounds the bed.
The room includes a shared ensuite featuring colour-coded bathroom tapware, grab rails and 3-in-1 bathroom ducted heat /light/exhaust ceiling fixtures. These ensuites are within sight-line of the bed.
The rooms incorporate wide doors for ease of mobility and are protected with fly screens on all windows.
The flooring is a high quality, stain resistant cushion-backed vinyl.
Heating and Cooling is provided by a centrally controlled reverse cycle air conditioning along with ceiling fans.
Large floor to ceiling windows allow natural light into each room and views across to our beautiful, well-maintained gardens. Each room has access to a verandah.
The Urimbiria Nursing Home is in close proximity to the lounge and dining rooms, a sitting nook, spa bath room and the activities room.
The rooms are also close to the facility entrance, treatment room, the nurses’ station and have access to the gardens of Warrina Innisfail.
Note: The shared room provides accommodation to two persons.
The Urimbiria Nursing Home common areas are all located within easy access from our resident’s rooms and include attractive lounge and dining rooms. Residents can also relax in the sitting room or the activities room.
Urimbiria’s common areas are attractively furnished with varied colour schemes, wall art and occasional tables. Outdoor areas include comfortable settees.
Other features of the common areas include a piano and large screen TVs for resident’s use with DVD/Video. Large floor to ceiling windows provide natural light to our common facilities and glass doors are utilised for external access to our landscaped grounds and gardens. Non-natural lighting includes attractive ceiling and wall-mounted lighting.
All of our common areas are maintained in good condition and a formal quality review of these areas is conducted regularly with minor repairs conducted as necessary.
Specific features of the Urimbiria Nursing Home include spa bath, kitchenettes for resident use, on-site multi-denominational space for celebration and a palliative care room. The complex has a chapel and on-site parking for visitors.
A communal newspaper is delivered daily for the use of the residents at no extra charge.
The Maximum Refundable Accommodation payment (RAD) is $300,000.00 and the Maximum Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) is $58.03.
Residents can choose to pay for their accommodation by a refundable deposit, a daily payment, or a combination of both.
A refundable deposit is paid as a lump sum payment. A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically, for example monthly. A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily payments.
The table below shows examples of combination payments of the refundable deposit and the daily payment.
Currently the Maximum Permissible interest Rate is 7.06% (1st January 2023 – 31st March 2023).
